1. Service Intervals

Service intervals for the 185CFM, 300CFM, and 425CFM Rotair compressors are the same. Please refer to your user manual for complete instructions and more details.

2. Compressor Oil & Filter

Compressor Oil Change Schedule

Change oil and filter after the first 50 hours, and then every 500 hours after that. Oil change intervals must never exceed 1,500 hours of work.

Take into consideration the working conditions in which the machine operates (dusty conditions, very high temperature, etc can require more frequent oil changes)

Compressor Oil Type

Recommended: Purchase AirLube™ Portable Compressor Oil here.

Compressor oil should be AW-46 Compressor Oil (AW = All Weather), such as Rotair Airlube (recommended) or Shell Corena 46. Keep in mind that compressor oil is different than engine oil.

Compressor Oil Filters

3. Engine Oil & Filter

Engine Oil Change Schedule

Change oil and filter after the first 50 hours, and then every 500 hours after that. 

Engine Oil Type

Viscosity must be appropriate to the ambient temperature to which the engine is to be exposed.

Kohler Engine: Recommended Oil
Viscosity	SAE	10W-30 (-20°C ÷ +45°C)	5W-30 (-30°C ÷ +30°C)	5W-40 (-30°C ÷ +45°C)	LOW S.A.P.S.

Cummins Engine: Recommended Oil

The Cummins user manual recommends the following: "Use a high-quality 5W-40 heavy-duty engine oil, such as Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme or its equivalent." (page 260)

Fuel Filter Change Schedule

Change fuel filter after the first 50 hours, and then every 500 hours after that, or as needed.

• Check and clean air filters every 100 hours. May need to be checked more often, up to a daily basis, depending on the environment the machine runs in.
• They can be cleaned several times with compressed air, but never with water.
• Replace every 500 hours.
