Sometimes the blast nozzle can become clogged with debris or blast media. Here's how to fix it.
Ensure your blast pot is depressurized before inspecting the blast nozzle.
- To depressurize, start by closing the pot's air inlet valve.
- Then, slowly open the blowdown valve.
- Now, remove the nozzle and inspect for a rock or other foreign material.
Q: I found something clogging the nozzle. Why did this happen?
- Abrasive media suppliers vary in quality; poorly filtered media (new or recycled) can lead to clogging in the pot or at the nozzle. The provided fill cap has a mesh screen that can help to catch some of this debris. Also, we recommend you occasionally flush out your blast pot.
- While uncommon, rodents can actually sneak their way into the open end of your nozzle. Beware! 🐭
