Written Instructions
Before beginning the startup of the portable air dryer cooler system, make sure the cart is in the proper position for your air source to reach it and also be close enough to your worksite or workstation. Once the ADCS is situated in the proper spot and on a flat, smooth surface, be sure to lock all of the caster wheels on the bottom of the cart to keep the machine in place during use.
The ADCS provides clean, dry, cool air to one air outlet connect for dustless blasting and 3 additional service ports: 1/4” Accessory Quick Connect for pneumatic air tools and two Accessory Ball-Valve Connect used for accessory tools or as a connect for blast respirators. The Portable ADCS features four locking caster wheels, two machine handles, and one crane lift ring for easy shop maneuvering.
Startup
- First, verify your air source service valve is closed. Also check that the compressed air inlet valve and accessory ball-valve levers are in the closed position.
- Connect the air source to the compressed air inlet valve on the ADCS. Secure the connection with the included safety pin.
- There's two ways to power the unit: AC or DC power. If you're using an AC power source, the electrical requirements are 120v. Plug the power supply into your power outlet. If you're using a DC power source, like a car battery, the electrical requirements are 12v. Use the included cable with alligator clips to connect the power supply to your power source, as shown here.
- If you're using accessory ports, connect applicable components to the accessory ball-valve or the quick-connect. If you're blasting, connect the blast hose to the air outlet connect.
- Press the button located at the back of the radiator to activate the fan. When the power is correctly connected, the fan will start spinning and the button will light up red.
- Now, you can open the air source service valve and allow air to flow freely to the machine.
- Slowly open the compressed air inlet valve and, if applicable, the accessory service ball-valve.
- The portable ADCS is now prepped and ready to deliver cool, clean, dry air.
Shutdown
If you have attached a blast pot connected to the portable ADCS, be sure to follow the shutdown procedures for the blast pot first. Click here to find instructions for your specific blast pot.
- Start the shutdown of the ADCS by turning the radiator fan off. Press the button located at the back of the radiator to deactivate the fan.
- Next, close the air source service valve to prevent new air from entering the system.
- Depressurize the ADCS by slowly letting air out from one of the two Accessory Ball-Valves.
- Disconnect hoses, accessories, and other air tools as needed.
- Disconnect your ADCS from its power source.
Maintenance: After each use, drain the water from the moisture trap by loosening the screw on the bottom of the trap. Also, drain the water from the general purpose filter next to the moisture trap by loosening the bottom wing-nut.
Storage: Close the air inlet valve and ensure all outlet connections and accessory ball-valves are closed. Now your machine is ready to be carted, carried, or lifted away for storage.
